FourOneTwo is a Pittsburgh-born streetwear brand built around the city’s 412 identity—celebrating everyone from blue‑collar workers to pro athletes and local creators. Founded by brothers Christian and Aaron Kinkela, the brand turns “hometown as hero” into a logo and movement worn across the city and beyond. Through collaborations with athletes, artists, and partners like the Pirates, Penguins, New Era, and Heinz, FourOneTwo has grown from a South Side retail shop into a cultural marker for modern Pittsburgh.
eCommerce Website
For FourOneTwo's brand, I redesigned their legacy site into a modern, evergreen Shopify experience that’s easier to run day-to-day and better aligned with how the brand actually shows up in the city. The new site is built around Shopify’s CMS so the team can manage products, inventory, and shipping without design or dev help, while still feeling tightly on-brand—bold, minimal, and rooted in Pittsburgh’s "412" identity.
Visually, I leaned into full-bleed, photography-heavy layouts and a clean grid so each product becomes the hero. Large, confident typography, simple navigation, and clear hierarchy keep the experience straightforward: you land on a page and your eye goes straight to the gear. By pairing their strong product photography with a stripped-back interface, the site breaks away from generic ecommerce templates and gives the brand room to breathe—putting the focus where it belongs: on the "412" logo, the collaborations, and the stories tied to the city.
