American Battery Solutions is a U.S.-based manufacturer of advanced lithium-ion battery systems for commercial, fleet, and industrial vehicles on and off the road. Founded in 2019 and now part of Komatsu, ABS designs and builds automotive‑grade packs for buses, delivery vans, material handling, recreation, and heavy equipment, with facilities in Michigan, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Their focus is on safe, high‑performance, long‑life batteries—backed by a veteran team with decades of EV experience—for customers looking to electrify their fleets and next‑generation machines.

For American Battery Solutions, I designed and developed a modern, sales-focused website to replace their outdated online presence. The goal was to elevate their brand and clearly showcase their advanced lithium-ion battery systems. I translated the physical product’s angular, blocky aesthetic into the site’s design language, creating a clean, corporate UI/UX that feels robust and uncluttered. This approach ensures that the product itself remains the central focus, reinforcing the brand’s identity as a manufacturer of high-quality, industrial-grade battery solutions.

A key feature I implemented was an interactive product explosion animation on the product pages. As users scroll, the battery visually disassembles, revealing its internal components and highlighting the engineering within. This dynamic element not only engages potential customers but also effectively communicates the product’s intricate design and quality. Additionally, I focused on clearly outlining various applications for their battery systems, helping diverse industries understand how ABS products can integrate into their specific needs, ultimately driving sales and expanding their market reach.
