Advantage Steel & Construction is a specialized steel constructor and fabricator focused on complex bridge work and critical infrastructure. Based near Pittsburgh, the company handles everything from advanced bridge erection, rehabilitation, and jacking operations to large‑scale, AISC‑certified fabrication in its 32,000 sq ft shop. By combining construction and fabrication under one roof—and maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards—Advantage Steel takes on challenging steel projects that many firms avoid, helping public and private clients strengthen and extend the life of key structures across the eastern U.S.
Website
For Advantage Steel & Construction (a Brayman subsidiary), I redesigned their website to bring the UI/UX up to the same standard as the main Brayman brand while reflecting the specificity of steel fabrication and erection work. The new site leans heavily on large, full-width photography to showcase their bridges, highway structures, and industrial projects at scale. I layered in circular graphic motifs that reference steel rivets and blueprint details to give the interface a visual language tied directly to their craft, while staying consistent with the broader Brayman brand system.
As with Brayman, a core goal was making their project portfolio actually usable. I replaced the old, clunky experience with clearer filters and a more structured layout so visitors can quickly sort projects by type and service (construction vs. fabrication), then drill into detail pages. Each project page surfaces the essentials—scope, location, services provided—alongside strong imagery, helping owners, general contractors, and other partners quickly understand the depth of Advantage Steel’s capabilities.
